Scruffy the lamb is feeling a little lonely because children prefer reindeer and Santa at Christmas to the sheep at the zoo. He tries to be a reindeer, but that doesn't last long. He borrows a Santa suit, but that turns out disastrous. He curls up outside a church where he becomes part of a nativity scene. This is a cute story with nice illustrations.

What child hasn't dreamed of becoming an astronaut? Space Book follows six days of events that unfold during space camp in Huntsville, Alabama. It was interesting to read how much information students can learn during the week long camp. Children get a first hand experience at building model rockets, astronaut training, and rocket launching. Although this book is a little dated Space Camp is still going strong in Alabama and reading this makes me wonder why I never attended camp myself.

I remember the ads and commercials for attending Space Camp as a child, and this book took me back to those times. Anne Baird chronicles a week at Space Camp through the experiences of the Wyle team, a group of children and teenagers learning how to become astronauts, which was something I dreamed of doing. Although this book is from the 90's and the dream of being an astronaut has faded, this book reminded me of the fun of space exploration.
