100% of cats you will meet are neurotic. Wild, feral cats are not neurotic - they are cautious and one with nature. Domesticated cats, those that allow us to live with them are neurotic because even after all this time, we still don't get IT. They are not our pets, they are co-habitators, and therefore should be treated with respect. Unlike many other co-habitators, they will not take out the rubbish for pocket money or, sex - depending upon the relationship, No, cats will reinforce your orders that the rubbish must go out at night, or before you all leave the house, because come the morning, or everyone returning from work/school, that rubbish may very well be relocated and it's not the cat's fault. This was mildly amusing, and entertained me for the time I was reading it. It is tongue in cheek, and actually relates the day to day life of my dog - more or less! Very quick read and a lightness of mood from my other book!

A short, humorous book about neurotic cats -- "A recent census among cats shows that approximately 100 percent are neurotic. That estimate is probably on the low side." -- and how to live with them, presented in words and cartoons. The humor is a bit uneven, but it gave me a few chuckles. I do believe that great advances in the field of cat-based humor have been made since this was published in1985, though.
