A glimpse into Oxford life over fifty years ago. A factual book, but written in a fictional way, which makes it fun.
One of the most important and influential books I have read on the Romans. It is a classic and an exemplary work of scholarship on the topic: indispensable.
This book was my favourite when I was teenager. I borrowed this book from our local library around 30 times.
Now I found it in book fair and thought, now is time to acquire this to my own library. This tells about life of roman women and I believe it still has something to say a layreader.
