Overall this was an enjoyable story. The cover in no way gives a preview to what the book is about. Honestly I can't think of a single things to describe this story that won't give away major plot points. It's worth the read, my biggest complaints are that the dialog needs to be flushed out more. At times they all sound the same, not like individual people. If this were turned into a movie, I imagine Curtis played by Morgan Freedman.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to see a strong female lead and the writing was good. The mystery that unravels surprised me, which is good. I will definitely read the rest of this series!

Daisy's War
(The Clockwork Chimera #5)
by Scott Baron
These books just get better and better! This has the ultimate battle with lots of twists, great friends, new allies, surprises, and a great ending! I loved this as much as Firefly, which is saying a lot! It has great companionship, exciting challenges, excellent adventures, humor, and deep emotions.

I already put the other books in the series on my wish list, and I'll be looking into other books by the author. The only reason I don't give it a 5-star rating is that I thought the story bogged down in a few places. I enjoyed the characters, the camaraderie, and the story.
