In this book, Carolyn shares her perspective on going to school and hanging out with friends. She has a wheelchair and there are some things that she can't do, but she focuses on the things she can do! This book could be a great read-out-loud in the classroom for third grade. I think that this book could be used in the classroom to show how to be a good friend to everyone, and that there is always a way to help people feel included.

A little girl named Carolyn is in a wheelchair and can do almost anything the other children can. She does things a little differently, but she doesn’t give up.

I found this book to be an excellent way to teach children social skills in dealing with other disabled students and also teaches children how to be kind to others.… (mais)
