I am a fan of Ms Blue's Bay City Paranormal Investigations so when I saw that she started another paranormal investigation series, I hopped on it. Adrian and Greg aren't as mature as the Bay City group but they work well together. The writing is tight and the story just sucked me in. There were a couple of disappointments but to reveal them would be a spoiler. It's well worth reading the book just for the wild ride. The ending left just enough of a window for the series to be continued.
Book two in the series finds Sam shaken by his ability to open inter-dimensional portals. Sam also discovers that he's psychic. This time the team is investigating tunnels beneath a school which is the main story. Bo is still afraid to come out which is frustrating Sam. Dean, a new hunk on the team, eases some of Sam's tension in a m/m way.

I've not made it a secret that I really don't mind, and sometimes love, revisiting established couples, and this was actually a great look at Declan and Simon a few years later. It is still full of genius, topical, fantastic humor, where I literally burst out laughing throughout reading this - mostly due to Simon's reactionary thoughts and both the intentional and unintentional compromising situations he gets himself into.
Again, despite the gawd awful, fade to black (yes, I'm indignant), this showcased how strong Simon and Declan are despite the new roadblocks they hit in their lives, but thankfully not in their relationship. There's also a huge appreciation for all of their friends. Fran and Roger in their crazy awesomeness. Lisa and Abe in their devout loyalty. Add in Simon's tactless, wacky family and genius assistant, and this really makes for a fun read.

Through some terrific comedy, it was relatable, it was smart, and it made me go awwwww, as these two realize what's really important, and of course come out the other side all the better to tackle the next challenge that comes their way.… (mais)
