T. J. M. Boyd

If you want to learn plasma physics, go read Frank Chen. If you want to learn space plasma physics, go read Gurnett and Bhattacharjee. This was the course textbook that was used for a graduate class on space plasma, and the lectures followed the text. I found the other two texts far more useful even for material that was based on these chapters.
