Ki grew up in small town nowhere espousing loudly to anyone who would listen about the never ending boredom, but amongst all that boredom was time to write, daily bonfires, and an endless stretch of sky to ripen an overactive imagination. Now, living in Erie, Pennsylvania Ki enjoys the sandy beaches and appreciates those quiet times a lot more. Ki is a beach bum during the summer, takes on more projects than are strictly healthy, and spends as much time as possible with family.

I wasn't too sure if I'd like this as I haven't read a lot if any actually MM motorcycle club books but I rather enjoyed this and am definitely keen to read the rest of the series.

Kai and Grant, shouldn't work, shouldn't be involved but they do and they are. Grant softens Kai and Kai lends Grant strength and protection.

I have assumed storyline will continue and questions will be answered in the next book.

The first book in the Kings of Men MC series, King's Killer follows Grant Arthur, little brother of club president, King, and club enforcer and the Arthur's foster brother, Kai Woodrow.

This had lots of sex, lots of swearing and a fair amount of violence - so about what you'd expect from a book about a MC. The plot centered around drugs being dealt without permission on the club's turf and resulting in the cops taking an interest when there's a spate of deaths.

While looking into the issue and the potential drugs being dealt out of the hospital, Kai crosses the path of physician's assistant, Grant. They fall into bed with one another and then spend all their time keeping it a secret from King who strongly disapproves of his little brother dating. The little brother who lives by himself, has a full time job and is 30 years old. Yes that brother.

Also although they know each other and apparently have an extensive history - that's pretty much completely ignored and it's like they've never met - even though it's mentioned that they apparently spent years living with one another and without Aaron (King) while he was in juvie.

The premise should've been interested but it wasn't and on top of that, it went nowhere - just fizzled out. The romance then should've been able to carry the book but it couldn't. There was no real relationship development - they basically just spent a bunch of time having sex and supposedly trying to solve the "mystery". They rarely spoke or did anything and the every time they had plans they were interrupted by Kai having to go take care of club business. The sex was okay but it got a bit boring and repetitive after awhile.

An average read. 2 stars.
