About the Author
Bob Brister was a rare combination of field hunter, competitor, and writer. A shooting champion and internationally recognized expert at skeet, trap, and hunting upland birds and waterfowl, Brister was a longtime shooting editor at Field Stream and Pulitzer Prize nominee. He died in 2005.

A well written collection of short stories. The outdoor qualifications of the author come through clearly and his ability with the language is equal to the task. The short story is a natural for outdoors tales and these are quite good.
