ames Brown is, first and foremost, a fitness enthusiast with a mission. He wants to share what he has learned through study and experience. “I use what works, and throw away what doesn’t.”

The book suggests that while walking is distinct from running, there is a specific manner and style to walking that will help you shed the extra pounds. You must do it at a brisk pace, and do the exercise according to an exact plan. Reading the book is like talking to a personal trainer who tells you, “The key is to keep trying harder and push a little more, when you feel like giving up.” “When you make a routine, stick to it.”

The book compares the benefits of running vs. walking, for example, “Walking doesn’t burn you muscles like running does.” There is particular advice about the optimal posture, such as, Swing your arms, keep your head up, keep your back straight, and your toes should be pointed straight.

I have always trusted simple solutions, so his message, “This book will show you how you can lose weight by something as simple as walking,” truly resonates with me.

Four stars.
