This book was fine. The characters were ok and the plot was passable. Just incredibly mediocre overall. Not bad enough to DNF, but not good enough to make me think about it when I wasn't reading.

I'm 70 pages in and it's still not interesting. A little cringe-y actually from a cultural POV. Could have done with some editing. For one thing, a character declines to answer a basic question, then a few paragraphs or pages later, that answer is given. This is a very basic note: There is no reason to refuse to name an answer when you are going to give it shortly anyway. It irritates the reader. I doubt if I'll finish it, so I'll rate it now.

I won this ebook through the Library Thing Early Reviewers program. Unfortunately, this was at the time when Kindle was moving from mobi to ePub format and I had it sent to me as a mobi file. Now I can't access it on my Kindle.
