Bravo!

This book was written by Bushard, who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome. First, I must comment on how wonderful it is to hear about a subject, such as Asperger's, from someone who has Asperger's. Notice I didn't say "suffers from" or is disabled. This book was well written, and greatly put together with tips and know-how on how to achieve activities that may be hard for some. I have a son who has Autism (and other developmental and mental delays) and I know how hard daily living can be, especially dealing in social situations. I feel privileged to read such a book, and hope others will too.… (mais)

I like the book. It was a list of places and what the author transform into or learn more about himself.

While not exactly your typical erotica, this book was seriously funny and I was laughing all the way through. I enjoyed myself.

This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways.
I found this 29 Ways to Succeed with Asperger's Syndrom a very interesting read, especially because it was written BY someone with Aspergers, rather than a therapist or counselor who peppers texts with jargons and complex studies. This was a refreshing look at how one Aspie has learned to deal with the curves life thrown and, rather than duck or move away from the plat, he states a swing at everything that comes his way

I was fascinated that Aspies seem to crave fame. I would have thought, with the social hesitancy, most would be shy and reticent to be in the spotlight. Perhaps that is why so many Aspies turn to writing as an outlet. There is the potential for fame, but without the constant social interaction that can cause some Aspies great anxiety.

I suffer from Social Anxiety and ADD, and I was very interested that Andrew Bushard drew parallels between these conditions and Aspies. I has definitely given me food for thought, and I intend to do much more research along these lines. In a perfect world, we could all help each other.

I also enjoy reading books about the successes of others, and I will look into The Road To Success Is Paved
With Failure.
by Joey Green in the very b=near future.
I admire the author for traveling so extensively. I took off for Costa Rica on my own a couple of years ago - and my anxiety marred my trip quite a bit. Bushard has put the travel bug back in my ear. I think with any condition that interferes with social interaction is worth an attempt at exposure/immersion therapy

Thank you Mr. Bushard for a useful book. It doesn't have to be read straight through from beginning to end, and I think this will appeal to many potential readers
