This is an absolutely wonderful book; a poetic faith-journey memoir. While I have not been to Greece and am not Eastern Orthodox, so much of this book resonates strongly with my own faith-journey.

The theology of doubt : poems por Scott Cairns

Cairns is at his best in this collection when the poems take a turn outward. I found there is an uneven oscillation between meditations on the theological, almost a palms out stance to the transcendental, and odes to the everyday. The odes I could have done without.
