Anne Calhoun

I really hate it when this happens, but I just couldn't connect with the characters. This book by Calhoun was well written, only not for me. I will give her another shot at a later date, but for now, I need to move on.

I was thinking as I was reading this how distinct Calhoun's flavor of erotica is, and it's because intimacy and vulnerability are in the scenes from the beginning. That, and you somehow care about the characters after a few pages.

Nice little novella. Hot little novella. Hero's liyve confession was so sweet and simple, and the travel and setting were really nice. Can see reading it again bc it has that perfect kind of dominant but not toxic hero. But also bc it's pretty hot

After such a good beginning to the series, this was a disappointing follow up.
