Jan McBride Carlton

This is my go to cookbook when I need a particular recipe. Over and over I have found just what I needed. I have lost the cover and the spine has broken (I am ashamed to admit) but that is the testimony to how often I use this particular book. In fact, I will try other books first in order to give this one a rest.

I received this book as a gift when I graduated high school years ago. It has been one of my favorite cookbooks ever since and I am actually on to my second copy after 'cooking' the first one on a stove burner. Whoops;) I still have it and just can't give it up even though it's falling apart by now.
