Kate Carter

This little pocket sized book with waterproof cover fits nicely into my camera bag or back pocket as I head out to enjoy Vermont's flora. With pictures and descriptions of 255 native wildflowers, the book is a convenient, handy resource. Quick identification is made easier by the six different color keys.

This is a reference guide but I seem to want more as I reread the descriptions and keep expecting more detail. For its purpose, there shouldn't be any more and I'm adjusting to that. Flower size and height are displayed on the picture borders.

Kate Carter is a very nice person and a finie author. She has a great eye for the right shot which will do justice to her subject. This book shares her many talents.… (mais)
