This book stung a little. I felt like this was my story my freshman year. After years of therapy, I'm as healed as I can be but that first year after it happened, I almost drove myself crazy because everyone was a suspect because, like Skylar, my recollection was fuzzy. It saddens me how often this happens.

I loved that she had Olive and Danny. I did wish that there had been more of a definitive outcome. I know that's silly because so often there isn't one. There wasn't one in my case so I wanted Skylar to have one instead.

The author did a great job at depicting freshman life, freedom, parties, and the unfortunate consequences of having something taken (and the guilt associated with that) as well as the viciousness of mean girls.… (mais)
