Just the kind of light and enjoyable read one expects from a short story yet with a touch of romance and adventure. Another winning short story that I have read from this author!

A charming and delightful short story. Very much in the style of Jane Austen, I loved the witty characters and the look at aristocratic life. I could have read on had this developed into a full novel however even though it is a short read it does not hinder the entertaining story that it is.

A lovely short story that is set during WWII. An insight to a young girl's heart as she fall for a soldier. Her mindset felt true to the era and a compassion develops quite quickly between reader and character. If you love a little romance in a historical setting and do not have a lot of time to read, this story is a wonderful choice. 3.5 stars

Short story / novella that reminded me of Jane Eyre and The Sound of Music. Not very memorable, but it's short and sweet.
