This book is about tripper the dog and it is a realistic fiction book.
Dogs can dream of endless things, just like people do. Who knows exactly if they are dreaming of just simply chasing cats or becoming astronauts. Here, the dogs are being personified and compared to people. For developing children, it is important for children to realize that they should respect animals as well as they do other people.
