Curious Kids Nature Guide is enchanting guide for the under 12 age group. There was enough info to spark kids' curiosity but not an overwhelming TMI moment. The author/illustrators very sensibly arranged the book as groupings by different habitats. This is an important concept and can educate younger kids about identifying something by observing "what kind of a habitat are we looking in" and what is most likely here.

Older children need very little guidance once they get the hang of observation and then moving into the categories. I thought that aspect fostered a lot of self-confidence and independence.… (mais)
