Everything said is pretty much fact. We are living in a too-fast, too-full, too-horrible world and we need to slow down before we kill ourselves. We don't need a book to know this, we already know. Perhaps some need a book to have it drilled in to them, or they don't quite understand until someone will a prefix to their name says something about it. It is the same with everything: we are just too lazy, too secure in our capitalist, consumerist world to really, really care. As long as we have the new iPhone, we care about nothing else. Any diet book that includes Cheesecake and Panna Cotta isn't a bad book. This isn't really a diet book in the loose weight as the be all and end all of the book but a book about eating mindfully, about thinking about it about maybe losing weight because you're thinking about why you're eating but about living the now, experiencing life instead of coasting through it.

The idea of playing with your food in quite an adult way appeals. Stopping to smell the ginger.

One of the first diet books that discusses both the "hungry ghost" (the overwhelming want for more food without thought and never feeling full) and the "austerity master" (where you make a virtue out of abstinence, orthorexia)

It's a book to read and then to explore the recipes with the hints for mindfulness beside you as you work.… (mais)
