This is a great message told through a story to make it memorable. Some of my favorite insights: Pay is like water and you die without it quickly. Recognition is like food and you can't last long without it. We need passion for the total customer experience. Your competitor is anyone that raises the bar for customer expectations.

To Spoil the simple concept of this book, the "The 1% Solution for Work and Life" advocates that a 1% improvement is achievable and drastic. Tom Connellan supports his solution by sharing a simple story of networking, desire and motivation. While it may suffer from it's own simplicity the book is a unique and easy read for anyone in leadership.

I liked the book! It is one of the better books that I have read in the self help genre. 1% is not a lot. But improving work, home and friendships by 1% can have a dramatic affect in your life.

The way the book tells you how to achieve this 1% is an interesting story and caught my attention right away. In fact what Mr.Connellan lays out is very easy to follow and requires no additional workbook or plan to follow. Just your desire to improve and to better and be a better person, your willingness is all that is required.

This book wants you to make small changes that can have a big impact on your life. It may seem small but if you are willing to put forth the effort people will notice the change.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.

A good book with good information that will make you better.

This is a book that I received through the Library Thing Early Reviewers , it was a free book. The only thing it cost me was the time to read it.

A nice follow-up from Connellan's previous books on leadership. The great thing about this book is that it is applicable to any aspect of your life. The idea that trying to make small improvement in many areas will have a huge impact seems simple enough, but when you apply the ideas, you see a difference. This is definitely a book I will read again in the future.
