A nice book to share with the young one's about traveling abroad.
Unforgettable, beautifully illustrated guide to London c.1883. What makes this book so great is not that it shows the great sights--the Tower, Covent Garden, Westminster Abbey, etc.--but that it tells of the street sweeper, the apple seller and others trying to eke out a living, giving a hint of a darker side to these London scenes. I highly recommend this as a teaching tool to anyone wanting their children to get a good picture of 19th century London.
