Fazil Husnu Daglarca

Born in Istanbul and educated in military schools, Daglarca pursued a military career until 1950. He then worked in various ministries through 1959, when he left government service to found a publishing house and devote himself to literature. Daglarca's poems have appeared in all of the leading mostrar mais Turkish journals, and he has published more than 40 books, including at least 27 volumes of poetry. His poems are distinguished by a skillful and unusual use of language. His style seems to be genuinely Turkish, not revealing direct foreign influences.
