Little Chicken's Big Day is a really cute book and illustrated super cute. I like the different fonts to express the different emotions and all of the simple twists that make a big difference to the book when added together. It was a really short book with only about two-four words on each page and some pages didn't have words at all so you had to evaluate the pictures closely. I really enjoyed this book, however I didn't really like how short it was and how it didn't really tell a story in my opinion. I don't think this would be one of my top choices of a book to use in class, however if for some reason I had to read this to my students, I would use this book to explain to students how it is important to always follow the adult you are with and never wander off on your own because you can get lost or separated from the people you are with. I would probably also use this book to show how the different illustrations and fonts help make the book come to life more and express the emotions more. In this story, the Little chicken noticed a butterfly and began to go after the butterfly instead of following Big Chicken which made Little Chicken get separated from Big Chicken. Thankfully it wasn't for long and at the end, they found each other!… (mais)
