Over a Red Hot Stove: Essays in Early Cooking… por Ivan Day
This was a fun short book of papers. I especially enjoyed reading about the issues surrounding barms and leavens, and learning the difference between cheate and manchet. Also, the class differences surrounding different kinds of grates, ox roasts, etc., were fascinating.
