Not my cup of tea. No idea why it’s compared to Kathy Reichs or Patricia Cornwell. She goes and looks at dead bodies and says, oh this one has been strangled. No forensics whatsoever. I found it quite boring. And yes, I knew who the murderer was when the character was first introduced
The first three books in a good series, with Dr Callie Hughes getting stuck in and moving investigations forward beyond the police capabilities. A really interesting setting.
Another great mystery with police doctor Callie Hughes involving herself in investigations. Good plot, great series.
Body Heat. Candy Denman. This Kindle freebie is the second in a series about an attractive young doctor who works as a pathologist for a police department in England. In this book, she has to deal with a serial murderer who picks up women in stolen cars, takes them to a remote location and burns them up in the car. One of her young troubled patients in the clinic she works for is a prime suspect, and she knows he is not capable of committing the crime so she gets involved in the search much the irritation to the police personnel.
