I easily got sucked in here, and can't explain why—maybe it's simply the draw involved in the distillation of a particularly situated life, via one carefully shaped as-told-to archive. (Plus, I'm a sucker for all things epistolary.)

I think what I most love about this collection is the rare fact that transcendence is made manifest without the poet's tying herself up in linguistic or philosophical knots in order to achieve said communication. Bravo!
