Having lived near Virginia City and visiting often the site of such a lively history, this book attracted my attention always looking for more on the subject of The Big Bonanza. The book I found was just so so. I was hoping for more on life of the common miner and inhabitants of the town and instead got more on the political and business wranglings of the big players. In fairness I have to say Drabelle did his homework and offered quite a lot of detail on the subject of these affairs.
