Set in the Florida scrub around raising cattle, this work of Christian fiction drew me in to the story quickly. I loved getting to know Linney, Cy, and the other characters in this book. Because Linney’s mother died in childbirth while having her, Linney decides to never marry or have children.

Her father, cousin, and the other cowboys who work with them along with the cattle, she believes are enough. Cy blames himself for the death of his wife so he believes he will never remarry. But our plans often fail to connect with God’s plan, and such circumstances befall Cy and Linney.

This story touched my heart and I desired a happily ever after ending for the pair. This sweet story kept me reading until the end. So check out this book for yourself.

I love a story that is set around a cattle farm. The excitement of herding them and taking care of them keeps everyone hopping in this light hearted adventure. Linney immediately grabs my attention for her morals and hard work. She is well liked by the cowhands and respected by everyone. All her life has been around the open land and is content to keep helping her Pa without any interest in marriage. I wonder how long that will last?

Strolling in to the scene is Cy, the new cowhand to help Linney and her Pa. Now he sure is a nice man and seems to be a good fit so we will see how this turns out. I liked how he addressed Linney and found his manners refreshing. On his first outing on the trail an accident happens that causes injury to Linney. I was impressed with how quickly Cy came to her aide with wisdom and compassion. Maybe he is making a good impression on Linney after all.

I love how the author describes the birthing of calves. I felt like I was there helping as the miracle was happening. What a wonderful time it was as they witnessed each new life come into the world. There is always something going on as they travel to their destination. With the weather turning bad at times and wild animals trying sneak up to the camp, everyone needed to be alert and ready.

As Christmas approaches in the book the author treats us to the story Jesus’s birth. I loved how Cy and Linney shared precious moments as they came to understand about forgiveness and letting go of fear. It is a happy ending with a wonderful theme of new beginnings.

Blood Moon weaves together times and people to create a powerful and moving story. Through different times, characters, and settings, the author creates a powerful and moving story that kept me reading. The apparent research and attention to details the author put into this book brings information about the Jewish faith along with fictional pieces that add dimension to the book.

Blood Moons, displaced families, a relic from days past all come together to force Tassie to examine the world around her and to work to overcome a terrorist plot while forcing her to face her own destiny.

God has a way of placing people and circumstances in our path to bring us to Him or to work to bring His plans to fruition. So if you like books with historical aspects woven together with God, faith, and family, check out this book for yourself.

I hope that someone will turn this book into a movie. Yes it is that good and needs to be on screen so many people can witness the journey that the author captures. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I am overwhelmed by the way the author writes. The story seems so real that I felt like I was reading something straight from the front page of a newspaper.

I loved learning more about Israel and the Jewish faith. What really fascinated me was the story behind the artifact . To have something from so many years ago be preserved and make prophecies come to light is hard to imagine. I loved the end time story and how it kept me glued to my spot.

Tassie is a wonderful character who will discover her family history that changes the world. Her taste in men is not so good and Omar proves to be a big disappointment. His charm gets him places and fools many people. He is definitely someone to watch out for in the story. I couldn’t believe how evil someone can be but the author shows how people can be deceived by power.

The story travels back in time to set the stage for what the relic represents and the meaning behind Tassie’s name. I did find myself going through my Bible several times. What does the Bible say about end times? That was the question I had to see for myself. The way the author ties a well know historical figure to this story is quite intriguing and made me want to read even faster.

This has been a very well written story with danger, adventure and a message that resounds throughout the book. Do you know Jesus? That is what many will need to answer as the end draws near.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
