This is a great book for early intermediate level. It is a short chapter book about a little boy named Kane and a little girl named Ava. They both go to swim together but, Kane doesn't feel very confident in the pool. Ava ends up helping Kane feel confident and they develop a friendship.

This book shares the story between Ava, a confident swimmer, and Alonso, who is afraid of the water. Ava encourages Alonso and helps him overcome his fear of the water. This would be a great read for those who may be starting to learn how to swim. It also surrounds the themes of sportsmanship, friendship, and teamwork. This would be a fitting read for those in early elementary.
