Do I really have to give it any stars? Colossal waste of paper. Don't even bother considering reading this drivel. I would love to know who gave this great reviews. It was a forced read because it was a book group pick. I felt like I was being talked down to the entire few pages I managed to get through.

Ok enough about me! This book is wonderful! The characters and the writing is so descriptive you can’t help but become invested in their lives & feel their emotions! The pace & the flow of the story & as you move between timelines is perfect! I mean I really don’t know what else to say! I Am speechless! Happy reading everyone!… (mais)

I really liked this book about Ronni,an LPN, who dedicates herself to "God's Angels" at an assisted living home. She meets Violet, who's like a grandmother to her, and Violet feels the same way. When she dies, she tells Ronni, a budding writer, to write a book about her life in one year. She does so while still working at the nursing home. Her love life is non-existent and she meets Rick a police officer who helped her when she was side-swiped in an accident.

I loved the back and forth with the past of Violet's life and the present and all it came to be w/Violet and Johnny, Rick, and Chet and how it ends in the future with all them living in the same nursing home.

I loved Violet as much as Ronni did and would love to have her as a friend or a grandmother.

Such an enjoyable read! The storyline, the dialogue, the history, the travel - I could've kept reading this story for another 346 pages!
Brimming with detail and well fleshed-out characters, this enchanting book leads you on an unforgettable journey.
Set mostly in the South, this plot is rich with family heritage and history giving added depth within the story.
Part mystery, part drama and slightly humorous, this well paced novel transitions between two storylines and then smoothly intertwines them into a fulfilling read.… (mais)
