Why do predators avoid snatching up unguarded Northern Fulmar chicks? And why was the nesting location of the Marbled Murrelet not discovered until 1974? After reading this book, I could tell you the answers to these questions; however, I'd rather challenge you to read the book and find out for yourself! Dunning writes in a compelling manner on a topic that I would guess barely even registers as a tiny blip on the radar screens of non-birders. I think you would be surprised, though, to discover both the diversity and ingenuity at work in the nesting habits of our feathered friends.… (mais)
