This time , Michael and Phoebe are going after whomever robbed the bank of England of its gold bars. They are also continuing their pursuit of the "Black Bishop" who is hellbent on murdering the Prince of Wales and returning England back to the Catholic faith . In the course of their pursuits they meet and greet Author Conan Doyle once again. We also get to meet Bram Stoker among others.

I have gotten totally hooked on the Steam, Smoke and Mirrors series. Michael and Phoebe are two hilarious characters and along with some notable names from history make this steampunk mystery an a-lister in my book Karl Jenkinson the narrator makes the characters come alive and does perfect narration.

What can I say but ENCORE! MORE!

Michael Magister, magician extraordinaire,(or so he thinks) and his assistant, Phoebe Le Breton, who is much more than an ordinary assistant, are asked by the Special Branch to help find a very dangerous insane escapee and former friend of Michael's .

As I listened to the audio of STEAM SMOKE AND MIRRORS I wondered how this would go over as a TV series. The craziness of these two characters along with their "helpers"/ friends" Professor Artemus More, a drunk priest who swears to name a couple make STEAM SMOKE AND MIRRORS what it is: a completely hilarious, laugh out loud,mystery/steampunk adventure . You really dont want to miss these two . STEAM,SMOKE AND MIRRORS BY COLIN EDWARDS is well worth the time.
