With a global pictoric and pattern-driven interpretation of the spreads with feedback between tarologist and consultant Tarot sessions get closer to psychoanalytical therapies and the cards' role are akin to a Roscharch (ink blot) test.
This was the way so-called "fortune-telling" was used long ago (even today in China): ritualistic pattern recognizing in order to get insight into problem resolving. Future is only a possibility and can often be changed by the consultant following his needs and aspirations. There is no such thing as "future prediction" only the Present exists in perpetual motion. The Future is an ever-changing possibility.
The author uses a very interesting virtually unknown 18th century classic tarot deck edited in Turin by Carolus Zoya to illustrate the book.
