Imagine if someone invited you to their bookclub, and then took you to their church, instead.

I find almost nothing to be as utterly obnoxious as "sneaky" proselytizing. Sneaky is in quotes, because, while it took several pages to show up, once it does, it really just slams you right over the head with it. Still, I'm giving the book 2 stars instead of one, because if you ARE looking for an illustrated sermon, this is probably a pretty decent choice.

An allegory about surviving the dark, cold, and lonely time in our lives. The tree survives all winters, never ceases to grow, while it carries "deep within her the memories of all her experiences."
