On page 8 there is a picture of Elvis captioned `off the set, in his dressing-room, deftly handling an interviewer'. Great word, deft. Above he is handling a co-artiste, also very deftly. There is a glossary at the end. Under Bear it says `an unattractive girl'. Frolic is `a performance' and megillah is `all of it'.

A strange book. Contains all sorts of supposed details of Stalin's life that appear nowhere in the seven or eight weightier biographies I have read, e.g. details of an alleged third wife and alleged illegitimate children. Bizarre.
