Good summaries of the lives of various revolutionaries such as Che Guevera, Nelson Mandela, and Nat Turner. This reads very well and makes you want to learn more. Good for YA readers too.

Although aimed at teens and young adult voters, this should be essential reading for registered voters of every age. Readers will understand the context of American government and voters' roles in making a democracy work, and importantly, learn how to be an informed voter. To round things out, the last chapter describes how one can get involved in politics, campaigns and advocacy.

Should be required reading in High School social studies classes. And for adults!
Easy to read, easily understood, well written and engaging.
Describes and explains the in's and out's of how we conduct elections in the U.S.
Especially in today's ultra-partisan state, it is important that we all know how things (should) work. With the knowledge you can gain from this book, maybe it would help to deal with the fear and loathing people have for each other.
