This book is certainly a great way to introduce your students to some much lesser known animals. The illustrations are fully of hilarity and the animals are strangest I have ever seen. It's better than a trip to the zoo!

I love the crawings by Ron Searle in Beastly Feasts. The poetry for children is good, but not great. It was the cover art that attracted me and kept me involved in the book. It's worth it just for that.

This is a collection of humorous, sometimes outrageous, poems with an animal theme. The illustrations are fun and the poems are sure to ignite giggles and the imagination.

This collection is packed with comical images and fun rhymes. The humor is at times more mature and pointed (Colonel Fleming is a lemming having difficulty leading his troops, and the tortoise lawyer is an ambulance chaser). However most are very age-appropriate and quite silly and fun to read (Hippo-uh-oh has to potty).
