Fatal error: Call to undefined function isLitsy() in /var/www/html/inc_magicDB.php on line 425- https://bnm.wiki/wiki/Carl_T._Ford: [with English amended by Leigh Blackmore]: Carl T. Ford (died November 13th2017]) was a British editor of horror Fanzines, especially of fanzines Dagon, for which he was awarded multiple times with the British Fantasy Award. In addition, in 1988 he was the first winner of the Icarus Awards as the best newcomer among the British Fantasy Awards.
Dagon
The fanzine Dagon grew from humble beginnings in Ford's college days with typed originals that were photocopied, the results "bound" with staples. The name referred to the story "Dagon" by H. P. Lovecraft. The focus later extended to articles on Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos especially game scenarios for Chaosium's 'Call of Cthulhu' and similar role-playing board games. Soon Ford managed to make the editions more professional, stories from authors like John Ramsey Campbell, Neil Gaiman, T. E. D. Klein, Thomas Ligotti and Brian Lumley and contributions from Lovecraft specialists like Peter Cannon, Robert M. Price, S. T. Joshi and Leigh Blackmore and genre artists such as Dave Carson, Allen Koszowski and Gahan Wilson. Other contributors were Steve Hatherley, Marcus Rowland, Richard Watts and Peter F. Jeffrey with his column 'The Red Brain's Trust.' Brain.Between 1983 and 1990, 27 issues of Dagon, were published.
Dagon won the British Fantasy Award in the category Small Press /Independent in the three consecutive years 1988, 1989 and 1990. In 1987 the magazine had already been nominated once. Ford and Dagon Press 1988 were also nominated for the World Fantasy Award.
