"Contains two dirty-talking, hard-f*cking, no-apology-making alpha males. Read at your own risk."

If you're going to start your blurb with a claim like this then you need to make it stick. I've read dirtier, harder, and less apologetic alphas. Not to say this isn't a decent little short, but claims of that nature can raise reader expectations. You might be mistaken for thinking there is actual fucking in this story. There isn't, it's all hand jobs and BJs. Maybe the fucking is in the next installment because (and this another bug bear of mine that leaves a nasty taste and detracts from the quality of the writing and storytelling) this is not a trilogy as it claims to be, it's serial fic that ends on a cliffhanger. There is no story arc that is resolved within this book but an overarching set of issues to be solved later as you would find in a trilogy. The book is not so long (1hr 20 mins) that it needs to be split into three books. It's a way of getting readers hooked enough that they will go out and buy the rest of the books to finish the storyline. Not cool in my opinion.
*This book is free at Amazon but the other two books will set you back about £4. If this had been one whole book priced at £4, with the good reviews I may well have bought it but I hate being manipulated so I'll never know who is behind the cause of the cliffhanger.

OMG! OMG! OMG! This book is one hot read. I mean like... WOW! I'm still trying to process my thoughts but I'm totally in love with Eric and Jordan and there forbidden love for each other. The more they try to deny each other and hotter it is when they meet the next time around.

How can you not love them? Two closet pro-football stars returning to home turf, but playing opposite teams, trying to ignore the attraction that they have for each other. Just know that alone was enough to get me to open the book and start reading.

The author has a magical way with word and telling the story that before I knew it I had already finished the whole book in one sitting. I never wanted it to end. But ending... major cliffhanger and I'm so intrigued to find out what happens next.
