A simple book to teach words to young readers. All different labels from things at the beach to stuff around the house. The plethora of vibrant illustrations accompanied by word labels is a fun way to teach new vocabulary. This would a great book to add to my Library Center in my preschool classroom.

The story was very easy, “Sophie laughs at Sam’s puppet shows.” The illustrations explained the book very well and made the book more interesting. Also, the illustrations were very eye-catching which as the reader guided me, being there were not many words in the story. This story was written in third person, explaining how Sophie loves her older brother Sam. The story, Sam’s Little Sister, was well paced being it did not have a large choice with words. This is a precious book about Sam who dresses up as many different things. On each page, context clues are given to help children guess what Sam is before lifting the flap to see. This book would be great for helping children learn how to figure things out using what they are given.
