World traveler and scholar writes epic tale

The Pod is about whales on a spiritual journey around the world. They are summoned and led by Narwhal. They search for answers to life’s questions. Twenty different species of whales are summed to help them discover diversity is essential to life.

The wales discuss history, famous people, and religions of the world as they decide to participate and explore seven ocean trenches on the journey to find the Green Man, Khizr. The Green Man travels the world on the backs of two fish. He is an ageless character whose wisdom is beyond all earthly knowledge. The whales must find answers to secrets in each of seven ocean tranches along the route.

Brave travel vignettes of Graham are interspersed throughout the story. He travels a different path. They are enlightening and almost make a book within the book.

Different and epic tale! Recommend!

I always love a good collection of dark short stories. Each story in this book is gory and complicated but the twisted endings leave a mark in your mind. Psychologically, the stories keep you guessing and I love the lasting chill I had when I read the last page.

This brilliantly written short story collection houses five tales, each with dark themes. Narrative viewpoints include those of both murderers and victims, providing insight into the minds of predators and their prey.

Set in ruined locations, schools, Suburbia, and on the sea, the Author has certainly shown a wide variety of talent in their work. The stories themselves were well-written and had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next. They were anything but predictable.

Apparent themes were murder, necromancy, family, and torture; lots of it. This is the perfect read to compliment the Halloween season. With a steady pace and plenty of tension, I would recommend this collection to just about anyone.

My rating: 4 stars.

A gripping tale which took a decidedly modern turn!

At first glance, the tale takes the reader into your stock standard dystopian world, where the downtrodden try to rebel against the victorious leaders - think Hunger Games or Divergent. But the story is anything but.
The story is more a blow by blow description of what happens when a dictator takes over, and imposes their will on the people, and what people do to survive, and to ensure the survival of their family - comparative to what Mugabe has done, and what's happening in Turkey now.
I very much enjoyed the weaving of the story, and some interesting plot twists (which I'm not going to share here, but you will be surprised!).
I can recommend this book. Not your typical dystopian thriller - more political than end-of-world.
