Picked this up at a bag sale and was pretty impressed. As someone new to greeting cards this book had a lot of pretty cool ideas I hadn't thought of or read about yet. I also appreciated the lack of sap; overall a very straightforward and practical overview of greeting card technique.

The text of this book of US origin is printed in an italic calligraphic typeface which not only makes it more difficult to read but eliminates the opportunity to use the book as on object-lesson in its own subject. It offers helpful lessons which could well be useful to "designers" thrust into producing specifications for type without having had a proper grounding in typography and readability.
