This is a very interesting concept in which the higher you climb, you are cool/popular but if you cannot you are described as unpopular. I also can infer that climbing is very important to them and their traditions. 4 and a half/5 stars

This is a great realistic fiction read for older boys. The premise is really serious, but the way the boys talk and deal rings true. At the very least you'll learn some good Scottish slang and curses, and at the most boys will find a character to relate to. I'll be curious to hear what the boys really think about it.
