Although it had very light cussing, I still enjoyed it. This book does not only take Lily away to the island, but us as well. I felt I was actually there. Great beach read.

This was a very light, cute summer read that's nice if you're into stories based around fictional celebrities. While I did enjoy the story (as I'm a sucker for these kind of plots), I feel I must point out that it was completely predictable. There really wasn't an aspect of the story that took me by surprise or shocked me in the slightest. To put it simply, the book read almost as if it was Taylor Swift fanfiction. It was nice, but it is possible that I could've found something on Wattpad with the exact story-line. If you're looking for something with a unique plot, I suggest saving this book for another time when you're in the mood for a simpler, summer-y novel. Otherwise, it was nice.… (mais)

Lily Ross is a famous singer/songwriter who needs to get over a love disappointment, so with her two best friends she goes to spend the summer on a small island in Maine to recover and find her muse again. But she is a romantic and falls in love too easily and soon finds a new guy. Naturally the course of love never runs smooth.

I thought SING was going to be a story about the price of fame. However that was early on and Lily's summer turns into a tale about choices to be made when someone reaches a fork in the road. Though published for teens--- Lily is nineteen-- this also works as a new adult book. For this reader, I found myself pleased with the turn of events and the story's worth-the- wait and satisfying ending.… (mais)
