This book provides an excellent overview of Islam covering theology, history, politics, and even tourism aspects. Grieve takes a critical look at both Islam and Christianity in order to help you understand Islam better. The book is neither too long nor too short. It provides just the right amount of information for an introductory overview.

A bit heavy handed in his descriptions of the post-colonial legacy. There are other places struggling with their governments that aren't predominantly muslim. Not a bad introduction, though I would have appreciated a bit more philosophy and history and a bit less modern politics.
