About the Author

Sarah Gunn studied architecture at the University of Melbourne. Her first involvement in building with stone was on a job for her mother. The project was a country house with a tower, near Hepburn Springs. Sarah and her husband travelled around Victoria and New South Wales seeking out stone houses mostrar mais and quarries to photograph, and to learn from people who were building in stone. She continued her architectural work in Castlemaine, Victoria, then South West Rocks, NSW. She has contributed to the Good Wood Guide and grows rainforest trees on her property. mostrar menos

I can always use more comfy clothes that cover the butt, and this offers a versatile variety of options to create any number of looser-fitting (some more shaped than others--oonaballoona's beautifully tailored version requires a side zip), comfortable tunics and dresses, with or without sleeves. Lots of lovely inspiration photos, including several models of color (though they all tended to be slenderish in size).
The book calls attention to fit adjustments you might want to make (FBA, moving bust darts, bodice length, swayback adjustment, hem length and side slits) but rather than providing instructions on how to do those things, refers you to "your favorite alterations manual" with a list of suggested resources at the back of the book. It does give instructions for the many various pattern variations, often with step-by-step illustrations, though some familiarity with sewing terms is assumed.
Sizes range from XS (33" bust, 28" waist, 35-1/2" hips) to XXL (47-1/2" bust, 43" waist, 40-1/2" hips)
