Have you ever found something you didn't know you desperately needed? I have been looking for this book, particularly the chapter "Hebrews and Greeks" since last fall and I finally found it. He was me and all of the well-meaning advice he got was what has been going through my brain since September. Stupid Brain.

Nicely done. I especially loved his chapters on Hope and "the gap" and Charity.
"I will cut my desire into short day-by-day lengths, and I will feed those lengths to the hungry fires of courage because I want nothing more than for my sacrifices to be accepted, my gold to be purified, even if my hands are bruised." Beautiful prose, like that, is mixed in with stories from different countries and cultures. In between that he adds the history of marriage. I found his statements about the Middle/Dark ages particularly interesting. Not a how to/workbook but a solid overview of the topic and why it should matter to the average person.… (mais)
