I loved this book. Jason is a research scientist and a real nerd, who doesn’t even realize what his is missing until he falls head over heels for a woman who works at his company—and suffers when she shows absolutely no interest in him. Nancy is a botanist, working for the city parks Division, who can’t get past the first date though she desperately wants to because she spends most of the date discussing the minutia of her job and doesn’t realize how her appearance as well as her personality affect men. Both meet after Nancy becomes part of a clinical trial for an “attraction” chemical compound Jason’s company is developing to market. This relationship goes along smoothly and quickly until unforeseen circumstances throw a cog in the wheel. Can they salvage what they have? Do they even want to? This story is quirky and funny and quite interesting. It also move along quite nicely, never dragging, but it is only the length of a novella. Personally, I think the length is just fine. I read it in one sitting, which was good because I eagerly turned pages to see what would happen next. The author has an easy-going style that grabs the reader from the start and keeps his/her attention through the many twists and turns of the plot. I hope to read more by this author in the future. I received this to read and review from Library Thing.… (mais)

This was a fun story about two geeks finding love. She works for the Parks Department and loves plants. She doesn't understand how her lack of care about her physical appearance impacts her dating record. He is a scientist who doesn't even realize what he's missing until he is thrown by seeing a beautiful woman at a party.

The story is pretty humorous, if not deep, and didn't get too angsty. In fact, I think it would make a wonderful 1-hour television movie as much of the humor is visual.

I received a free copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.
